I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website. This is something we have prayed about for a few years now. We think the time is right for us to get involved and use the web for the Glory of God!
We hope the use of the site, to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, will be a blessing to God’s people. Our greatest desire is to share Christ with the lost. What a joy it is to give people hope. We all live in a world that needs hope, and thank God that hope comes in Jesus Christ. Glory be to His name!
Our church has a lot of outreach ministries. We perform a Drama each year at Easter and Christmas. In the summer months we have Vacation Bible School for our kids & community. This is filled with lots of exciting themes, games and fun learning about Jesus. We have a good time meeting, from time to time, to sing at the Convalescent homes for the elderly. God always blesses! We also have Revival meetings a couple of times a year. Our WMU have a great outreach ministry, that they work very hard at, and our Youth are active in different activities though-out the year, including the performance of skits for the church family.
I have had the privilege of preaching God’s word at Revival meetings, which I count an honor. I’ve been on Mission Trips to Ukraine seven times, and to Brazil twice. Our Youth have been to Brazil once. God has blessed us in helping build a church in Ukraine. There are so many things I could say about that ministry and my good friends there. What a joy to serve God!
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:33). And that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). But God sent his Son to give his life’s blood on the cross to pay for man’s sin. The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven, and that is Jesus Christ (John 14:6). There is no other name given whereby men must be saved. Praise God again, that name is Jesus! And he is gone to prepare a place in Heaven for all who believe.
This is what South Liberty Baptist Church is all about. We want to share Christ with our community, city, the world and with you.
